Pain doesn't have to control your daily life. Find relief with chiropractic care.
What is Whiplash?
Whiplash is a neck injury that occurs when the head is suddenly and forcefully thrown forward and backward, stretching or straining the muscles, ligaments, and joints. It is most commonly caused by car accidents, falls, or sports injuries. Symptoms may include neck pain and stiffness, headaches, shoulder pain, dizziness, and numbness or tingling in the arms or hands.
How do you treat Whiplash?
We use chiropractic adjustments, cervical traction, and massage therapy to help restore movement, relieve pain, and promote healing. Ice and heat therapy can also be used to reduce swelling and relax muscles. Avoiding activities that worsen pain is important during recovery.
Is there anything I can do for Whiplash at home?
Applying ice for 10-15 minutes multiple times a day can help reduce inflammation, while warm moist heat for 8-10 minutes can help relax tight muscles. Over-the-counter pain relievers, prescription medications, muscle relaxers, or steroids may help manage discomfort. Physical therapy can also be beneficial for long-term recovery and preventing stiffness.
