Mid Back Pain
Pain doesn't have to control your daily life. Find relief with chiropractic care.
What is Mid Back Pain?
Mid back pain affects the thoracic region of the spine and can be caused by muscle sprains or strains, vertebral misalignment, herniated discs, spinal stenosis, osteoarthritis, scoliosis, or injury. It may feel like a dull ache, throbbing, or burning sensation, and it can be constant or come and go. The pain often worsens with sitting, standing for long periods, or bending.
How do you treat Mid Back Pain?
We use chiropractic adjustments to correct misalignments and relieve tension, along with massage therapy to relax tight muscles and improve mobility. Modifying activities that aggravate pain is also important to support healing.
Is there anything I can do for Mid Back Pain at home?
Resting and avoiding activities that make the pain worse can help in the short term. Applying ice for 10-15 minutes can reduce inflammation, while gentle stretching and physical therapy can improve mobility over time. Over-the-counter pain relievers, electrical muscle stimulation or a TENS unit, and bracing may also provide relief. In severe cases, surgery may be necessary.
